Sasha has practiced architecture for more than two decades and been the principal of BLOK Architecture, PLLC, since the beginning of 2010. During his career he has designed multiple detached garages, and decades of wrenching has made him sensitive to the unique requirements of automotive repair workflows and equipment; he is a “Carchitect" and specializes in designing garages for gearheads. Adding these garages to the rear of existing houses has necessitated that he be facile with varying architectural styles, but his love of cars and of construction has always made designing a garage as a workshop fulfilling. He has designed garages containing 2-post lifts, in-ground lifts, auto stackers, jib cranes, compressed air systems, EV charging stations, lofts, and welding machines. Sasha’s knowledge of residential design makes him equally at home creating anything from basic garages that simply store cars to garages that support extra functions such as wrenching, full bathrooms, kitchenettes, wet bars, recreation rooms, art studios, and entertainment rooms.
